Ramblers runs entirely on the generosity of our volunteers. Coaches, team managers, committee members, and score bench officials give up their evenings and weekends to make the club work — and we could not do it without them.
Coaches
Our coaches invest their time and expertise in developing the skills, character, and confidence of our players. They go beyond the training court — mentoring, motivating, and modelling what it means to be a Rambler. Many of our current coaches started out as Ramblers players themselves.
All Ramblers coaches receive a $50 fee discount per team, per season in recognition of their contribution.
Team Managers
Team managers are the organisational backbone of each team. They handle game and training schedules, liaise with the committee for fill-in players, keep players informed week to week, and provide support during games. The role is demanding but enormously valued — and often invisible when done well.

How to Get Involved
We are always looking for volunteers across every area of the club. Whether you want to coach, manage a team, help with the score bench, or contribute to the committee, there is a role for you.
Available volunteer roles:
- Coach — lead a team’s training and game preparation. Basketball coaching qualifications are an advantage but not essential; the club can support you in obtaining accreditation.
- Team Manager — coordinate your team’s week-to-week logistics and communication.
- Score Bench — assist with game-day scoring and timing. Training is provided.
- Committee Member — help govern and grow the club. The committee meets regularly and all positions are elected at the AGM.
