The Belconnen Ramblers Basketball Club has been part of the Canberra community since the early 1970s. With more than 350 active players across our junior and senior programs, we are one of Canberra’s largest and longest-running basketball clubs — and a foundation member of Basketball ACT.
In 2024, the club was awarded the ACT Chief Minister’s Award for Community Organisation of the Year, recognising our contribution to the Canberra community over more than five decades. It is an honour that reflects the dedication of our coaches, volunteers, committee, and the families who have made Ramblers what it is.
About the Club
We field teams across all junior age groups from Under 10 to Under 19, as well as senior social and Premier League competitions. Our members have gone on to play professional basketball in the NBL, represent Australia internationally, coach at the elite level, and compete in US college programs. But the heart of the Ramblers has always been the local community — families, friends, and players of all abilities who love the game.
