It is with great pleasure that I confirm that you have been selected to play with Belconnen Ramblers for the 2026 Winter Season.
If you wish to reject this offer, please let us know as we have a waitlist for players willing and able to join the squad.
Registration:
Registration and fees MUST be paid prior to your first game. Instant team disqualification is the penalty for playing an unregistered player.
If your child is a development player, you will need to pay the $100 development fee (please click add in the last steps of registration), if your child is a development player you will be notified by the club.
Other payment options are available, as we do understand basketball is an expensive sport. As well as the payment of fees via instalments, over up to 6 months, Basketball ACT have now provided a ‘Pay it in 4’ payment option, like AfterPay but managed by PayPal. To take advantage of this, please continue to follow the above link and select the Pay it in 4 options on the payment option.
If you wish to setup a payment plan directly with the club via direct debit, over a maximum of 6-month period, please complete the following form: https://forms.office.com/r/BmNRts0Qhn
Please either pay by this date or notify the club that you will not be playing this season. Failure to notify the club that you will not be taking up your spot will result in fines to the club. These fines will be passed on to individuals who have not completed their registration. Please be aware that fines for withdrawal of teams can reach up to $800.
Volunteer Discounts
To receive the Team Manager, Coach or Committee Member discount, all Coaches and Managers must first register on PlayHQ as a volunteer and have their role approved. Once approved, the Ramblers Committee will email you a unique Discount Code, which can be entered during the player registration process.
This discount code only applies to payment options excluding direct debit. Coaches and Managers should not complete player registration until they have registered as a volunteer on PlayHQ and received their Discount Code.
For other volunteers, the discount is applied during the volunteer request process. If you believe you should have received a discount code but have not, please contact us.
Sibling discounts are automatically applied during registration; however, please note this has changed from a flat $57.75 per subsequent sibling to a 15% reduction per subsequent sibling (currently $57.75).
Players Uniforms and Merchandise:
All players are required to purchase their own uniform from our online store prior to the start of the season: Each player is required to have a Ramblers singlet and shorts. The store is currently open but will close on the 10th of April, you must place your order before then to ensure they will arrive in time for the Season.
Click here to access our shop: Belconnen Ramblers Basketball Club – S-Trend Sportswear
Sizing Guide: https://www.shop.s-trend.com.au/pages/sizing-guide
Sizing Guide: Please look at the guide provided and if you are still needing some help contact the uniform officer.
Player Numbers are managed and allocated by the Ramblers Uniform Officer. The Uniform Officer will enter the numbers once all uniform orders have been placed. Your Player Number will be yours for every season playing for Ramblers Juniors.
Players are encouraged to have their name on the back of their singlet. This is entered into the online store during purchase, and you are free to pick first name or surname or nick name.
There are also other Rambler’s merchandise items available to purchase which you can review on our online store. For all questions regarding uniforms and merchandise, please contact our Uniform Officer.
Team Details:
Please note that in some cases Coach, Manager or Training information may yet to be confirmed. If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know as soon as possible. If you have some details missing beside your child’s name, please contact delegates to update your information.
Bench Duty:
Bench Duty for your team is a shared responsibility between the parents of the players. The team manager will create a roster for the season and will provide a copy to all parents before the season starts. If you need to make any changes to your assigned date, please communicate directly with the team manager. Parents are encouraged to take their turn when rostered, and swapping weekends is absolutely fine if you know you’ll be away on a particular weekend.
As I’m sure you are aware, it’s an important job, and your children will certainly let you know quickly if you’re doing it wrong! Usually, you’ll only be rostered on once or twice per season at most.
For detailed instructions on bench duty, visit the Basketball ACT website at https://www.basketballact.com.au/juniors/ or PlayHQ at https://get.playhq.com/apps/myhoops. On either site, simply search for “bench duty guidelines” to find helpful resources and step-by-step guides. familiarising yourself early will make the process much easier.
Game Times:
Ramblers are unable to confirm exact game times until the draw is released by Basketball ACT. However, you can find the approximate times, as well as dates on our website: https://ramblers.net.au/juniors/next-season/
The Basketball ACT website is here – ttps://www.basketballact.com.au/juniors/
