Help Us Document 55 Years of Ramblers Uniforms

As the Belconnen Ramblers Basketball Club celebrates 55 years as a foundation member of Basketball ACT, we are embarking on a project close to the heart of everyone who has ever pulled on a Ramblers jersey — and we need your help.

We have launched a campaign across our social media pages to document the full history of our uniforms, from the very first kits worn in the early 1970s through to the strips our players take the court in today.

Over more than five decades, the Ramblers have gone through countless uniform designs, suppliers, and colour variations. Each one tells a story — of a season, a team, a generation of players. But much of that history exists only in old photos, scrapbooks, and the memories of our long-serving members.

That’s where you come in.

If you are a past or present player, a parent, a coach, or simply someone who has been part of the Ramblers community at any point in the club’s history, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for:

  • Photos of players or teams in their Ramblers uniforms from any era
  • Old match programs, club newsletters, or memorabilia featuring uniform designs
  • Memories of when uniforms changed, who supplied them, and what they looked like

This is a community project, and the more people who contribute, the more complete the picture we can build together.

The Ramblers have always been a club built on family and connection — and this project is a celebration of that. Whether you played in the 1970s, the 1990s, or just last season, your contribution matters.

“We want to honour the full history of this club, and our uniforms are a big part of that story. Every design represents the people who wore it and what we stood for at that moment in time.”

You can get involved by following us on Facebook and Instagram and sharing your photos, stories, and memories in the comments or via direct message. Everything shared will be acknowledged, and our goal is to build a permanent record of our uniform history that the whole Ramblers community can look back on with pride.

Let’s piece it together — one jersey at a time.
